Every Building Manager, Property Manager and Building Owner needs to make upgrades and improvements on their building and provide maintenance services of some type. Simply Helpful assists in locating the right service or provider for that need. Although our primary focus has always been Energy Efficiency, through our network of friends and partners we can almost always find the right product, service or person to help you with your needs. We don’t interfere, we just help you find the right connection and then make sure that if it is something you really need or want, you get it.
We will never tell a client that they need something they don’t and we will only offer new technologies and services to our clients if we think it will benefit them. Some products don’t fit some customers and not every customer will need everything we can offer. We aren’t looking to sell you everything, in fact we aren’t looking to sell you anything, we just want to help satisfy our customer’s needs and to simply be helpful.
Phil Scherzer

Phil has spent the last 25+ years of his career in the energy services industry providing energy conservation measures (ECM’s) to a vast array of customer types, from residential to commercial to large industrial customers and municipalities. For the last 20 years, Phil has worked primarily with Commercial and Industrial customers providing project management and design work. On the design side of projects, Phil has focused on energy efficient lighting and control upgrades, while working with great associates and team members to bring a wide variety of additional ECM’s to a customer’s facility. Through these years of experience Phil has developed relationships with a large array of service providers and manufacturers who have consistently been able to provide quality work to projects that he has worked on. Phil has designed and managed projects for a wide variety of commercial and industrial facilities, including Novartis, the City of Port Jervis, New York, Shoprite, and class A buildings in New York City.
Today Phil wants to continue to provide energy services to customers who are looking to either save money or make a positive green impact on the earth. However it is simply his goal to help his clients with any need they may have, to help them improve their bottom line and run their businesses more efficiently.
Bernie Abrahams

Bernie owned and operated a commercial cleaning company for 25 years developing a rich network of clients and customers that included building managers and owners of a wide variety of buildings. Over that time he has also developed a network of product distributors and service providers proficient at assisting in maintaining of commercial and industrial buildings. Bernie has over the last 20 years, also provided his network of clients and customers with energy efficiency products and services, primarily through work with Energy Service Companies (ESCO’s) and energy efficient product manufacturers. Always improving the arrows in his quiver of services and products, Bernie has had the opportunity to provide services and products to customers including AMTRAK (Penn Station), NYCHA (New York City Housing Authority), Macy’s, YMCA’s as well as building management companies.
Today Bernie continues to search out new products and services that can provide his customers with the help they need to improve their bottom line and run their businesses more efficiently.
